Telkom and its pathetic service

I would like to bring the pathetic service I have been getting from Telkom to your attention.

I took out a contract/mobile deal with Telkom and asked for my debit order to run on the 20th as that’s when I get paid. Never once did Telkom debit me on my requested date and because they debit way before i get paid or much later after my pay day syou add your fee of R274. I contacted the call centre numerous time asking to rectify this and they assure me its set for the 20th, yet you still debited me on the 5th of August way before my pay date.

I called in once asking/needing assistance with NAVIGATION on the Telkom website in order to pay the charges that you incorrectly charged on the account, nobody could help. I was passed from one department to the next…. I even went into the Telkom shop at New Market Mall , changed all details and updated what needed to be updated. Yet when I called the call centre after that to confirm all details and try to get help once again on how to pay the account, none of the information was updated.

I called in for the last time on the 16th of August as you debited me on the 15th so I called in to sort things out, your consultant was not helpful or friendly at all, no empathy no common decency nothing. I requested for a ref number and was told you don’t provide ref numbers for calls. I requested for a recording of the previous call and was told , no problem but I must first bring them a court order for me to get a recording of my call…. Yet if I call complaint department or want to complain the first thing they ask for is my REF number, the same number that the consultant says Telkom does not provide ref numbers. So I then requested to talk to a team leader, she kept me on hold for long without even getting back to and letting me know she still getting the team leader or anything…. I then requested a call back from the team leader and till today nothing.

Andile Baduza AND Zanele Mo***eng (Z) shuld not be dealing with customers at all..
