TELKOM AND FIBRE INTERNET TECHNOLOGY

<p>I would like to take this opportunity to thank the technicians from OPENSERVE who really try their best to resolve internet and telephone problems in Bloemfontein. So far Mr. Aaron Malope, Mr. Schalk Weideman and Mr. Koos Van Deventer have been of such great help recently.</p> <p>What I now need to know from Telkom is when will the new Fibre Technology be introduced to the Brandwag Neighbourhood because when I phoned them they told me later on this year and they even gave me Vumatel's number to call ( ********** 862) to enquire. When I phoned Vumatel on the 19th of May 2017, I spoke to a few people there who informed me that Vumatel will not be operating in Bloemfontein as it's to far and off their grid!?</p> <p>Telkom please understand that Brandwag and Universitas needs this new superfast fibre for the following reasons:</p> <p>1. Both neighbourhoods are predominantly populated with students attending the University of the Free State, Vista, CUT etc. and they really need this new technology to assist them in their studies;</p> <p>2. Their are a great many schools also who need it;</p> <p>3. There are many businesses operating in the area like guesthouses, hotels, offices, shopping centres, small businesses etc. who rely greatly on the internet to survive.</p> <p>Therefore can you please provide me and thousands of others a clear answer as to when fibre will be introduced?</p> <p>Also why is Bloemfontein always overlooked? This city is growing and expanding at a high rate.</p> <p>So far this year I've had to log more than five complaints regarding faulty internet and telephone services for my two properties! Copper cables are not working nicely! </p> <p>Please I need an honest to God answer here...</p> <p>Thank you very much! </p>
