Telkom AKA HELL-KOM. WORST COMPANY EVER!

I am absolutely shocked at Telkom's level of service - they don't even deserve ONE star.

My phone was ****** over the weekend which was tough enough. I reported the phone and SIM as ****** and we blacklisted the device and SIM and reported it to the police.

That afternoon we drove to a Telkom store in order to do a SIM swap.

First thing, my mother was the original buyer of the SIM years ago, so we had to return with her present in order to do the SIM swap. Okay, that's fine I understand the legalities... We went and collected her, drove BACK to Telkom, only to be told OOPS nope they can't help us in any way, the order isn't processed properly and there is nothing they can do. Turns out, that consultant apparently submitted something wrong and the process was left pending or wasn't submitted properly.

After going back, we requested they call ANYONE who can help in order to resolve this. The call centre agent escalated the matter and no one had any idea of when it will be solved. When we went back AGAIN (which was the FOURTH time in two days we went to the store) we were told we need to wait 24 hours. AGAIN. I took off of work to be shunted away and apparently management is NONE EXISTENT in Telkom??? No manager at the shop, no manager at the call centre, NO MEANS of contacting the department apart from 'logging a ticket' and absolutely NO human being on EARTH that has ANY way of getting ANY answer?! No one can do anything further on the system, and no one can even call anyone who can?! That's ABSURD!!!

I cannot access my gate at home, I cannot access my banking apps, I cannot do ANYTHING and Telkom won't do ANYTHING! It's been OVER 24 hours and still NOTHING!!! They have absolutely NO need to service their clients that are in ACTUAL need of their service!!! It's SHOCKING! I have never been so put off by a brand and people that couldn't care less about the people that are the reason they even exist??? Clients are the lifeline of a business and Telkom couldn't even be bothered!

I will neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever recommend them to anyone. It's been the worst experience, with people treating you like YOU'RE inconveniencing THEM, TO DO THEIR JOB????
