Telkom - Africa's worst network

We had our telephone and Internet line installed and activated 3 weeks ago. Our data is with Axxess.

The first 2 weeks the line work flawlessly. For the past week it has been giving problems. Firstly we called and the consultant said that the line had been suspended because our account had not been paid. I contacted the billing department they said that it was not an issue from their side and that the account was up to date.

I then contacted technical support. The ya devised that it was a problem with the port and that they needed to recreate the port. This happened again for the next 2 days. That is 6 phone calls.

Today I contacted the billing department where I spoke to Wasema, the supervisor. I explained the situation. She advised that our line was in a holding pool. I contacted Axxess who advised that there is no reason that this should be the case and that they can see that Telkom owns our line and they have never requested a migration.

I called Waseema again, she avoided my call. I called 3 times over 4 hours requesting a call back. Eventually she called me back and said that there is nothing that she can assist me with, I must contact the call centre. Eventually after losing my temper I was given a number to contact. A gentleman assisted me and told me that he needs to migrate the line and this could take 24 hours.

This is absolute *******, I will not pay for a service that I have not received, I will only start to pay once the line is active and stays active. Furthermore I have wasted so much airtime and time as a result of incompetency on telkoms side. This is unacceptable.
