Telkom Affecting My Credit Score

Credit Score Affected by Telkom.

I had a Telkom mobile contract that I recently paid the outstanding balance in full on the 22 December 2020. I called the customer service department 26 December 2020 to confirm if the payment was reflecting and the advisor confirmed the balance has been paid in full nothing outstanding.

I requested for a paid up letter to raise a dispute as the account still shows as unpaid on my credit score leaving me with a bad credit record and affecting my future plans in securing a home loan. The advisor sent through the request to the "credit department" to request a paid up letter and advised on the times scales 5-7 working days.

Its was the 9 January 2021 when I called up again as I still had not received an email for the paid up letter that I was assured I should expect no later than the 7 January 2021 . Advisor I spoke to confirmed the request had been sent through and advised she will escalate the matter with her manager so it can be picked up ASAP gave a timescale of 3-5 working days.

It is now the 22 January 2021, I have not received any sort of feedback from Telkom and constantly have to chase it up and seems like nothing is being done about this as Telkom now received their money. I'm still stuck with a bad credit score which is causing me distress and inconvenience as I am in the process of buying my 1st home yet Telkom could not be bothered about a single individual as they have what they wanted now its my problem.

This nightmare is honestly affecting my relationship with my partner as we made plans for the new year. Other companies I have requested a paid up letter sent it within 3 working days. I just don't understand why they cannot send me the confirmation the balance is settled that's all I'm asking for.
