Telkom ADSL Line not installed by Technician

<p>We recently relocated from number 51 to number 54 in the same street in Welgevonden Estate in Stellenbosch. Both houses have telephone line connections inside. </p> <p> </p> <p>Once the Telkom technician showed up he gave feedback that he will have to return the next day with a team to connect our house to the exchange. For a week he did not show up again. Upon phoning Telkom and requesting information,Telkom said that the house only gives 3G coverage at best. </p> <p> </p> <p>This is unacceptable from a couple of points of view, the first being that we moved 50 meters from our old house! Is Telkom saying that they cannot extend ADSL by 50 meters? The second being that we need a stable uncapped internet connection for business purposes. </p> <p> </p> <p>We will appeciate to get an expert opinion and also want to find out what it will cost to connect our house to the exchange. </p>
