Telkom ADSL line enquiry
We currently have Wi-Fi with Telkom and are wanting to upgrade to an ADSL line which is uncapped. We enquired about upgrading and were told that we would not be able to as we would be breaking our two year contract and would have to pay over R1000. We explained to the lady that in no way are we wanting to cancel our contract, we simply want to upgrade to unlimited. She explained we need to email our request to the cancellations department at Telkom, which we did. Two weeks passed and nobody from Telkom responded to our email. Eventually someone from Telkom phoned us and said they would not charge us the cancellation fee as we are not moving from Telkom and that she would find out if our area supported the 10meg ADSL line and then she would get back to us. This lady from Telkom only responded to us telephonically and not by email, and did not sms us a reference number as she said she would. Needless to say that three weeks later we are still waiting for a response. We still dont know if our area can support an ADSL line. We then went to the Telkom shop in Greenstone and they informed us that they cannot see anything being done for our enquiry as nothing has been loggged on their system. I find Telkom highly *********** and completely unable to settle clients enquiries. We have had nothing short of extremely poor service from Telkom. This is our last resort.
