Telkom adsl is bad

<p>Hi</p> <p>I've spoken to a lot of people living in the same neighborhood as I do, and all have the same problem. Telkom Technicians and the cable department say that the cable to the box closest to our houses is damaged somewhere close to the highway. All of us living there, can only get 4meg lines, because the noise ratio does not allow us to get 10meg adsl lines. The biggest concern is that if they say we can get 4meg , why do we only get 2meg and down , if we all basically have 4 meg lines at our houses. So basically we pay for 4meg, but get 2 meg and down. The 1 lady said that she has a 4meg line with telkom, but the fastest that she get is 1.7meg. So. If telkom knows about this problem, why don't they do anything about it? The 1 technician told me 6 months back that the order was in for the upgrade, and still we get the **** of not getting what we pay for. The telkom website say that we can get 10meg lines, but we can't because we don't even get 4meg .</p> <p> </p> <p>I think telkom must try and fix their lines first before trying to promise people fibre and better speeds. They can't even give people what they pay for.</p> <p> </p>
