Telkom ADSL and Telephone lines down for 5 days straight!!!

My parents live in the Glenvista area south of Johannesburg and they have had no telephone lines and ADSL since Sunday 23 May 2021.

A technician was called out but nobody arrived when a call was logged. They were told it was an outage or cable theft or whatever. No updates or emails were sent to them, informing them of the apparent issues. Also no definitive timeline was given about when the services will likely be restored. They are spending huge amounts on mobile data to enable them to keep their business running.

Typical pathetic Telkom and their poor, service and maintenance of their infrastructure. At this rate they will have no Internet and telephone services for more than a 1 week. Unacceptable!!!
