Telkom Adderley Street
On the 7th of February I went to the Adderley Street Telkom Branch to do an application for internet. Joel a very helpfull person, assisted me with choosing the plan that would best suit my needs. I wanted my landline phone to be part of (included in) the internet package. When I was there, Joel revered to his manager on a couple of points and then came back to me. It is therefor clear that he is still training and work under supervision. On Tuesday this week I received a call from him stating that apparently he's been trying to link the landline to the internet deal, but cannot do it. I was under the impression that my order was already being processed not still sitting at the branch. I was then assured that all this will be sorted out by the beginning of next week the latest, I should not worry. Now I need internet at home, because of the nature of my work, so I phoned this morning the 10210 number because the 1023 no does not work.. First I spoke to Evelyn and was told to contact vumatell in order to make a booking with them. I phoned Vumatell like a huge idiot. Thembikosi at vumatell then told me that I must first provide them with a VT no from Telkom, before anything can be done. I then phoned the call centre again and spoke to another agent who then told me that my pin is suspended while there is a pending order. Now I don't know what the heck is going on, because my payment history is always up to date. He transfered me to a manager, The manager told me that there is no suspension and I must phone the branch where I went the first time to do the application to pick up a router which would have a VT number which should be phoned through to Vumatell. Right, now I start phoning the store where I app****. Joel is not in today, I spoke to a manager and when I told her about the fact that I need a router and they have to then phone tvumatel and give them the VT number which is on the packet. She rep**** just after 11 today in above phone call that she would phone consult with the manager and get back to me.
It is now almost 14:00 and no reply yet about everything or anything. I have been trying to phone them from my lifeline since 11:30?
This landline that after all could not be linked to the internet, was something that should have been picked up after the application was completed and send for processing.
Now at the end of the day I am the client (fool) that have to phone around in an attempt to get my order sorted out.
Right from the very start I could not put enought empasis on the fact that I appeal for assistance to have this done as speedily as possible.
Complete lack of interest, I have been trying the adderley street branch for 2 hours now and nobody picks the phone up.
