Telkom act of *****
I had a mobile router contract signed with Telkom in December 2018 for a minimum of 24months for payment by debit order via my Absa account. But in December 2019 I had a reason to travel out of South Africa and considered this service will not be useful where I go. So I app**** for termination of the contract in November to be effected in December 2019. I approached Telkom desk in Tygervalley mall in Cape Town where I resided then and an amount was calculated for me to pay off via my bank account by debit order. The amount was withdrawn from my account in two instalments by Telkom in December and January. Now to my displeasure, Telkom has continued to levy monthly debit into my Absa account as if our contract still subsists. I have had a similar complaint about the same company in 2018 when they refunded me, howbeit incompletely. I view this act as a deliberate attempt to de***** their clients especially when it always repeats itself every time a contract is terminated with the company. The cancellation request reference issued me by Telkom in the present case is ***:***0. Telkom should review the status of this cancellation and stop immediately the forwarding of debit orders to my Absa account.
