Telkom ***** account.

Please stay away from opening a Telkom contract account. The agent will use your information to take out duplicate or separate contract under your profile with you knowing. I opening a sim only account at Telkom Clearwater in August 2024, the agent used my information and took out a Telkom cell phone contract. Upon investigation, I am told the agent paid for the contract the first month and then later did not pay the account and then it fell into arrears. I only found out about the account in Feb 2025 when I was phoned by debt collectors. I opened a ***** case immediately for investigation however the lazy investigators at Telkom prematurely closed the case without thorough investigation. I then went back to the branch to re-open the case, the Branch understands what exactly was done by the ex-Telkom Agent on the system in bypassing the system. As of the 4th of June 2025, the case has been re-opened 3 times and they are still investigating. In the mean time I have a credit profile that is ruined due to this ***** account and Telkom is dragging their feet. Stay aways from Telkom accounts.
