Telkom a joke!

Purchased a fixed line lookalike and was informed that i will have full coverage in my area (a blatant lie!). Also purchased 10 gig internet bundle on promise of full coverage (also a blatant lie!). Phone no longer works when sim is placed in fixed line device on my premises. There is very limited reception on a cell phone as well. Internet simply does not work at all. This has been the case for more than six months now. Branch in Fourways could not help and instructed us to call technical support. Nobody answers calls at the call center or at telkom stores for that matter!!!! This is unacceptable. Judging by the more than 16 000 complaints on this site it should not be a surprise. Telkom is a joke and misleads customers by lying to them about their coverage which is virtually non-existent. I'm going to start a media campaign on this which will be the truth and for public benefit. Telkom has obviously not heard of the Consumer Protection Act as well! They have breached the contract executed with me as they are unable to provide the service as agreed (and i pay them every month!)
