Telkom 5 months and counting
<p>March of this year we app**** for a line at our house from telkom. A technician came out to install and advised us we needed to get an electrician to run a cable to where we want the line to be because telkom technicians don't get into the ceiling. He also advised that he couldn't do the installation on the day because another technician had to come out to do some cabling that leads into the house. Once that was done he could install the line. On his advise we hired an electrician to run the cabling in the house. Now it's July, many calls later, many escalations later, many emails later, cables hanging out of the ceiling, and still no word from telkom as to when they will install. Only blame shifting from sales to technical to cabling. I'm out of pocket for an electrician. House has cables hanging out of ceiling that I don't need since they obviously are not bothered to install the line. Loads of empty promises from call center managers like Denzel who promised to give me feedback but can't take my calls almost a week later. </p>

So, I get a call a couple of days after I posted this that the issue would be resolved by Friday the 7th of July 2017. The installation technician pitches up at my house to install the line 13th with no appointment made ( as if we must sit by the house and wait till telkom decides it's a good time to pitch up) then it's rearranged for the Monday (9th), and technician doesn't pitch. When he does decide to finally come out, it's just to tell us there's a cabling problem outside the house and it's not his Dept that sorts that kinda stuff out. Are you guys serious???????????? And all you gonna give is some template response as per above and then send another technician out to tell us there's nothing he can damn well do cause cabling is suppose to fix what ever they need to fix and so we continue with the run around!
