Telkom 4MB Line Speed going at 20Kbps.
<p>I pay for a 4mb line through telkom and get data through mweb. I am getting 20kbps download speeds on a 4mb line. The 384 line I payed R200 for was faster than my current R600 4mbps line. This is pathetic. What is the point of paying so much extra if I cannot download faster than 20kbps. I work online, my work depends on uploading and so does my studying. Slow internet means I cant work and dont earn money. This is honestly ****ing disgusting. And when I phone telkom to tell them there is a problem with my line they say it has been fixed or will be soon, and yet it just keeps getting worse. I would switch line providers in a heartbeat if I could get a line from anywhere other than Telkom, but since they run a monoply, I am unable to do anything. So I pay all this money and get ****ed over because I can't work or study. What are you people even doing at work?</p>
Internet is even worse now. Getting 2000ms ping and taking over 3 minutes to load a webpage is ****ing pathetic. Every time we phone telkom asking them to replace or fix the lines they say its fine then we get terrible ping a week later. If Telkom wasnt the only ****ing line company in this country we would have switched long ago.
