FNB refused me a credit card because I supposedly have a bad credit score. This prompted me to request my credit report from Trans Union, and the only item/company appearing in red is Telkom. This is impossible as I have a signed debit order that goes off monthly. There was a managerial issue on my Telkom account which I resolved as soon as I became aware of it (Telkom Reference ********** 54). I spent hours on the phone trying to resolve the problem, that Telkom made. This also forced me to close my Telkom account, and in the process I ended up with a closed account with monies still owed to me (overpaid).
From Telkom side, would you please clear my credit record a.s.a.p. I'll attach supporting documentation to show that the information Telkom provided to the Credit bureau was incorrect, and should be corrected a.s.a.p. in order to clear my good name. As this wrongful credit information is affecting my credit score and thus influences my ability to apply for credit with financial institutions, I'll be forced to take legal action should Telkom not be able to assist me in clearing my credit record promptly.
I would also request FNB to investigate the matter and reevaluate me Credit Card application as the information attached clearly show that I have a impeccable credit record, except for this misrepresentation from Telkom's side.
