Telkom 1tb lte deal that doesn't exist

I have been trying for months to take out a telkom 1tb lte sim only deal and their service has been horrible, every time I attempt to apply they call me and tell me I cannot afford a R999 a month contract even with a R48000 a month salary. Eventually one of the call centre people said I need to go to a store and do it there, I went to a store and spent almost an hour there only for the assistant to tell me that they cannot give the deal I'm looking for in store I can only do it online, if that's the case why did the lady on the call send me there, surely she must have known this, they gave me a number to call which I did and the person I spoke to didn't even sound like he worked for telkom because he had no idea which deal I'm talking about. This is really not fair, we cannot get fibre where we are and can only use lte but telkom refuses to assist me.
