Ok, so where do i start? During July 2016, I got throttled by Telkom. According to Telkom, we are used between 220 and 290 GB. I was shocked, but as the months went by I kept track of my data usage and always closer to the end of the month (last 4 months), we get throttled. Now I'm getting frustrated as no one can tell me why. On the 9th of October my internet started to slow down again. I thought how was this possible. I was told by Mosa Letebele I must mail ********** only to find out a week later that this is the incorrect email address. So I forward the two mails I sent previously to the correct address. By this time my wife was told by billing that on the 9th of October between 11am and 1pm we used 43GB, by which at this point the person on the other side says this is impossible and advise us we should wait for abuse as they will help us by giving us a complete breakdown of our consumption. Now remember I forwarded two mails to them explaining everything. Eventually, they finally respond - someone by the name of Nosipho asking me to please elaborate. At this point I'm like WOW! Could you not just read the two long mails I sent. So I respond please see above. Two days later I get another response from Tandiswa:

“On the system we only able to view the telephone number the username and password was connected to if someone connected wirelessly we won't be able to pick it up on our side and we are unable to view the website or devices you connected to. Kindly log into www.saix.net with your internet username and password to view the Ip addresses by clicking on Support then Userstats.

Regards
Telkom Abuse”

Now I'm getting frustrated

So I tell her

“This is not what we requested the fact that we did 43gigs in two hours is impossible as we have a 4meg line so when we download at best we get 400kb per a second you need to look into how this is coming up every month”

The response is

“The 43GB was not downloaded with 2 hours the usage was for the day and yes you can download that much depending on what you doenload.” (Please note that I'm copying and pasting and the mis-spelling of DOWNLOAD is from her. She couldn’t even take the time to check her spelling, then why would she check my line.

Mails go back and forth she just does not want to help finding any excuse not to help.

In between all this, my wife is also in contact with the call centre (practically everyday, from billing to sales to Technical support, Internet technical support – no one is able to assist. She evenitually gets hold of a supervisor, who gets involved in the countless emails and requests to support and abuse. After no joy, the supervisor sends a request for him to contact her 25 October 2016 and she rep**** to him it was suitable to call. He eventually called back on the 1st of Nov – not to mention the fact that she called the call centre during the week and got an agent to also drop him a mail)

1 November is here and still no service.

My wife calls in at 9am. Ziyanda then continues to say that we are still being throttled and it takes 24 hrs to un throttle but assists at resetting. My wife then asked her to assist with logging onto the SAIX site and Telkom usage management tool – Which Ziyanda is able to access, but my wife isn’t even with running through the user name and password with her several times. And what a shocker! We used already 8gb – 9am on the 1st of November, whilst being throttled. Yet no one is connected to the internet, it is only my phone that is connected and I can’t even do an update on my phone.

My wife then gets a call from Riedaa (the supervisor) and he advises that we go to saps to get a subpoena so they can get Telkom to investigate a case of *****. My wife then also tries to find the Telkom ***** number as it is unbelievable that a huge company such as Telkom does not have a ***** hotline. She finds the hotline number ( ********** 000) and to no surprise, “THE NUMBER DIALED IS NOT OPERATIONAL”, That’s why I'm at this point, as no one wants help. So what do we do?
