Technician sent to fix cut cable. Didn't take cable joining equipment!

My gardener accidentally cut my neighbour's telephone cable. I told the neighbour and reported it to Telkom on 19.11.16. Received ackowledgement SMS the same day quoting reference 5CNZ191116.

I have telephoned every working day since then. Each call was at least ten minutes long, with last Friday's call at 09h35 with supervisor Joseph lasting twenty minutes and forty-five seconds!

Despite their statement that "Telkom will endeavour to resolve the problem within five days.", the fault still exists more than two weeks later.

I called again this morning and was told that no supervisors were available for me to talk to. I was then told that a technician was there on Friday, but couldn't repair the fault as he didn't have cable joining equipment. Seriously?!

My neighbour's husband is in poor health and she is an estate agent, so the home telephone is essential to them.

What do I have to do to have this fault fixed?

You have escalated the matter? Nothing further has happened since 2nd December. This fault is now twenty-five days old. "Telkom will endeavour to resolve this fault in five days." What a crock.

FIX THIS PHONE!
