Tech Dept will close case if they do not speak to you?????

I have just heard from a call centre agent that it is technical department policy that if they phone you and you do not pick up the phone, THEY WILL CLOSE THE CASE WITHOUT SPEAKING TO THE CUSTOMER! Are you for real, Telkom?!!!???

What if the client is driving a car, in a meeting, running to answer the phone and misses the call? You close the case and penalise the client for not answering the phone!!! I am so disgusted with this apathetic attitude that you have setup in your corporate culture.

How on earth do you justify such a procedure???? I am beyond disgusted.

Beyond, beyond, beyond disgusted.

Then the client has to log another call and possibly wait another, how do you people like to deceive your clients, with another 72 WORKING HOURS, which is actually 2 weeks of working hours and not a 3 day turnaround time as you wish to deceive your customers into believing that it is.

And then when someone does finally phone you (if you don't miss the call by accident and have the case closed in your face), wait upto 27 days (or is it working days Telkom?) for them to follow up on their first phone call. But oh wait, if you miss THAAAT call, the case will be closed and you have again log another call and wait 2 weeks + 1 month. I am so disgusted at Telkom. So disgusted.

Telkom deliberately deceives its customers and has highly ********* technical admin procedures.

I cannot fathom that a company would do that but yet you do.

Seriously, you do seem to be truly South African, right? You are not a proudly South African company! Your customers are NOT proud of you. Your customers hate you. You are not serving us. You lie to us, and when we require service you ignore us, cancel our fault log calls and then appoint staff to appease us when really, nothing is being done because you have an administrative procedure that tells your staff that if a client does not pick up the call (what he might be driving? Ah, not our fault), and cancel the case.

Just like that.

Your customers honestly detest you. Not your staff. The company. I know I do.
