Swearing Sales Agent

Today I received a call from an sales agent based in Cape town on behalf of Telkom offering me a Huawei P10. After 2-3 minutes of him explaining that this offer is only available to myself, due to me conducting my account in a good manner, I qualify for this phone at 50% discount etc. I told him that I am not interested. Without ending the call in a manner that an agent representing a national brand should. He ends the call "ma se ****" and drops the line.

Under no circumstances will I accept this indefensible behavior. I called the Telkom customer service manager. I was put through to a team leader who advised that after a few minutes was unable to trace this call as Telkom has so many agents. I find this hard to believe that a national brand has agents calling their clients and that they are unable to have recourse to them. Telkom, please explain yourself.

Remember, you called me, not the other way around.

In a competitive market, brand reputation is everything, and this experience will definitely allow me to share with families, friends and colleagues, how poor you treat you brand loyalty.

How do you redeem yourself?

Regards Noel

Good Day I am sure my request was voice recorded when I specifically asked you to respond to me as a customer! Do not to pass the buck onto a company that I am not a client of. You actually placed your corporate responsibilty on a company that found it fit to SWEAR me- your "client". This is really poor branding for Telkom. Please advise me if this is your response regarding the matter. This has been a negligible service from a national brand that I never missed a debit order to. The reason you called me in the first place was to offer me a contract deal because of my "loyalty in paying". If this is your response in treating your loyal clients, I am considering an alternative service provider as I am failing to conceptualize if you are bothered with retaining my business. I am requesting for a copy of the voice recording of my phone call with your swearing sales agent. I am not accepting your mediocre service recovery or lack thereof. I clearly need to deal with this in a different manner. It seems as though you take SWEARING YOUR CUSTOMERS lightly. Regards Noel
