Suspended account

I have a Telkom contract for cell phone number ********** 657

I changed banks and did a switch for all my debits at the bank for end of March. Called Telkom to check if changes done on their side. I was informed debit amount has already been sent to old bank so I have to do an EFT of R199. I did the EFT and still got messages saying I have an outstanding amount. Called Telkom to check if EFT amount received and they confirmed it was, but I was charged a failed debit fee of R200. Okay fine, towards end of April an amount of R399 is debited and my account is suspended. I call telkom again to understand what the issue is, I am told my account is with a collections department it will take 7 days for the R399 debit to reflect, once it reflects it will take up to 72 hours for services to be reconnected. That is a total of 10 days, what am i suppose to be using in these 10 days? This is absolutely poor service on Telkom's part. Having to wait 10 days just to use my sim card? Like really now... I never even intetionally defaulted on my account in the first place, all other service providers' debits were seemlessly transitioned, except for this Telkom one. Totally unacceptable!!!

A case number has been opened a week ago... no one has contacted me to assist until this day. It's like Telkom just doesn't care. Now it's almost a month since I was cut off. This is total *******.

I called customers care and was told i would be contacted, but nobody did... apparently I am uncontactable, how am i uncontactable when my contact details are up to date and nobody left me an sms or voicemail or email? Is this how you treat customers?
