Such friendly call centre staff, but a vacant desert of delivery,

**Disclaimer: This rating does not deserve 1 star, but I could not submit without allocating it.

I called Telkom on 24 August 2017 to transfer their landline from Mossel Bay to Cape Town. We were so nicely helped by Njabulo, lovely man. It would be done on 10 - 14 days, and a technician would be in touch. It is now 16 October, a touch more than 10 - 14 days and a lot more like 46 days of total, utter and complete deathly silence.

After hearing nothing at all, we contacted Telkom after a MONTH AND A HALF. The next ''customer service provider'' Thabile, said that the previous request had been cancelled. She was not able to explain by whom and for what reason. She promised to sms a reference number within 24 hours. It seems 24 hours actually means more like 400 hours (2 weeks) and counting.

The phone number and services concerned need to be transferred and it needs to be done immediately. Currently Telkom is *****ing pensioners money by refusing to transfer a number so that it is usable, but still managing to bill for services NOT rendered.

Reviewer Update
REF: ********** 39A the day after posting this review, I had the mis fortune of engaging with Telkom for an hour and a half. During this time I was passed from Sales to Technical to Sales, and finally informed that no one could track our phone line transfer, no one could give me a contact person who would be able to answer our questions and we would just have to sit quietly in the corner like good children and hope for a phone line to go with the account we payfor, by Christmas. So, my very elderly father continues to pay R700 a month for a service he is being denied by the very company who PROVIDES the service.
