Subcontractors keep disconnecting service

Over the past few weeks, Telkom subcontractors have been working on my street, True North Road in Mulbarton. They changed my phone number around the 16/02/2017. We were having problems with ADSL, and only after calling MWEB, they discovered that our number was changed. Telkom finally resolved it on Saturday morning 04/03/2017. On Sunday (the next day) the fibre subcontractors were working in front of my house again. I told them to please make sure they do no disconnect us. They told me that they are disconnecting all connections, but will reconnect before they leave. At lunch time I saw them preparing to leave and told them that my service is still disconnected. They told me that they will sort it out and come back shortly. They never returned. I had to log another fault with Telkom, and they cannot tell me who the subcontractor was that disconnected us. So I have to wait probably another 2 weeks, but this time with no line at all. In the meantime I pay roughly R600 per month to MWEB for ADSL which I cannot use. I am hugely frustrated as Telkom still got the audacity to tell me that if the fault is found to be on my side, I will have to pay for the call out. There is no way of escalating calls with Telkom, and we are stuck with this hopeless sub-standard telecomms company is South Africa who don't care 2 hoots about customer dissatisfaction.

I also forgot to mention that when I reported the fault on Sunday, and called back on Monday, I was told that Sunday's fault report was closed (***). Fortunately I called back otherwise it would never have gotten resolved. So it was closed without being resolved or without anyone from Telkom coming to check that it was fixed.
