Stranded with no Phone

I visited Telkom Balito Lifestyle branch on the 6 March 2017 with my Hauwei P9 lite handset that I had taken a contract with them. The phone had a defective screen that was not entirely flat. The defect can only be noticed after putting on a tempered glass screen protector. I have tried 3 tempered glass protectors and all have had the same bubbles formed at the bottom and top right on the phone screen. Instead of booking the phone in for repairs, Telkom gave me the contact number of a repairman and asked me to contact him. He redirected me to the regional manager of Hauwei phones and she spoke to Telkom Balito asking them to book my phone in for repairs. The phone was returned back to the telkom store on the 17 of March, however I was not notified by Telkom of this. When I called in on the 22 March, I was told to come pick up the handset as it was at the store. When I visited the store that afternoon I had realized that it had moved to Balito junction mall and nobody at the store was able to assist me as their systems were offline due to the relocation of the store. Today (25/03/2017) I visited the Telkom store in Balito Junction mall and was given back my handset told it was replaced by a new unit. Looking at the phone, I instantly realized that it was my old phone with the defect still present and nothing had been done. They claim this was due to the phone still having the phone lock pin which I failed to remove. Instead I wrote the phone lock pin on the repair sheet handed in when I booked in the handset. I also received a call on private number whilst my phone was booked in asking for my phone lock pin which I did provide. Now I have to wait once again as the phone was re-booked in for repairs and I am stranded with no phone.

Reviewer Update

I was called into the Telkom store in Junction mall Balito today and handed back my phone after almost a month. Nothing has been done to the phone except it being factory reset. I am disgusted at Hauwei's support for their poor quality of phones. Their regional manager Justine does not answer my calls anymore. They acknowledged that there was an issue with a batch of phones that was manufactured , however does not want do anything about it!!!
