Stop ripping us off Telkom :(

<p>I had a Month to Month data sim contract with Telkom mobile which they explained to me this way: we give you data and you pay us month end, and should I not pay then they will terminate the services since its on a monthly basis.</p> <p> </p> <p>I changed bank accounts after Telkom had deducted their money and i decided not to use their services anymore. So i failed to cancel the contract with them of which after non payment they should have terminated the contract (that is how it was communicated with me). Fast forwading months later, i get a call from their attorneys saying that i owe a ridiculous amount of R2594.00 for a contract of R299/month provided i use their services. They disconnected the sim after the 1st month which to me proved that i they had terminated my services and what was due to them was at most R600.00.</p> <p> </p> <p>I explained to their attorney how the contract was explained to me and my understanding of the contract because nowhere in the contract is written that they are going to continue billing me after i've missed the month's payment (its not a 12 or 24 months contract its month to month). </p> <p> </p> <p>The attorneys heard my case and referred me back to Telkom call centre as they couldn't assist me, telkom call centre referred me to the store, the store referred me back to the call centre and the call centre can't assist as well they are telling me to speak to my LAWYERS to intervene on a mattter that i'm comfortable handling on my own. when I asked the call centre representative to tell me where in the contract it says that they will continue charging me for some months, he told me he doesn't have the terms and conditions of the contract but that is how telkom works and i mustn't be the 1percent that does not follow what the rest of the people do. Now i don't know whom will resolve my query in their offices. </p> <p> </p> <p>I want to pay them the money i owe to them but i won't pay R2594.00 (telkom and attorney charges) for services not rendered. </p> <p> </p>
