Still waiting for a response to my original complaint posted 18 AUGUST!

Our internet line at the flat we stayed in had constant trouble for the year and 4 months we were there - we could hardly ever connect and when we could, the line speeds were so bad we couldn't even open a webpage. Thinking we needed a "faster line" we fell for Telkom's upsell to a faster line speed, which just meant we were paying MORE for the same **** service. We logged numerous faults, and often waited very long for anyone to attend to them. Each time the response was the same: It's "an underground line fault". Unbelievably, this was never ever fixed. This carried on for ENTIRE 16 months, until we moved (we run an online digital marketing agency and lost lucrative international contracts because of the inability to connect to the internet during this time) We moved in the middle of December and I app**** for our line to be moved to our new home by Telkom using their online form on 19 December 2016. I received a confirmation advising someone would be in contact with me within 48 hours, which fortunately I had the foresight to screenshot (knowing Telkom's service history). On 02 January 2017, when I hadn't heard from ANYONE at Telkom, I visited their Tyger Valley store to follow up (we desperately needed internet at our new home to run our online business). I was told they HAD NO RECORD OF MY REQUEST. In spite of showing them the screenshot of their own confirmation, they could not help me. Given our history of non-existent service from them (in both product and actual customer experience) I asked them to rather cancel the line. They insisted I fill out a form and give one months notice, in spite of me telling them I no longer lived in the property. If they had responded to my original online request of 19 December within the 48 hours they promised, I would have just had my line moved and carried on regardless (hopefully with no "line faults" at the new location). But their bad service at the store, as well as my "lost" request, on top of all the connection problems we'd had over the last year was the last straw which prompted me to end my relationship with them. They DID in fact leave the line active at the property I had vacated for one month's cancellation, despite me telling them someone else had moved in. I now find I have a default listed against my (clean) credit record for non-payment of R1018!!! When their "debt collection" service called me I explained the situation above and offered to pay until the end of December. They gave me an amount, and I paid it. I have never received an account, another call or any other form of contact from Telkom since then. But now they adversely listed me at the Credit Bureaus. Also, because I am no longer a client, I cannot view my account balances online. I am SPITTING mad. I don't believe they've made every reasonable effort to contact me, I have never ever received a bill for this amount - they have my contact details (email, and cell) and to list me with credit bureaus without following due process is very dubious business practice. Telkom, contact me with the ACCOUNTS which I have NEVER seen first of all, and then we can talk. If the service was used by the new occupant of the flat AFTER I EXPRESSLY TOLD your agents at Tyger Valley that I was no longer there and someone else had moved in, I will take further action against you. If you had simply responded to my original request to move my line on 19 December, within 48 hours as you promised, things would be ENTIRELY different.

P.S. It's been THREE MONTHS and TWO DAYS since I originally posted this complaint. You rep**** with a reference saying I'd hear from somebody soon. To date, I have heard from nobody....
