Still no result

Hi,

My recent experience with Telkom have been FAR from enjoyable. I currently have a 10mb ADSL line, which I was happy with. However for the past 2 weeks my service has been closer to 52k Dial-up. I logged a fault on the 12th.

On the 13th, I got a call from a Telkom representative, who I thought was phoning about the fault, but was instead phoning to sell my FIBRE TO HOME. I thought switching to Fibre might improve my issues I’m having with ADSL, and after confirming that FIBRE was available to my block TWICE, and confirm that my new billing would be R1848 (20mb uncapped FIBRE), I confirmed the order.

Later the 16th I was phoned by a technician about my fault, which had improved slightly, but was still far from fixed. I was phoned on 18/19 July by a technician to again as about the fault, which I stated was indeed still a problem, but that I had upgraded to FIBRE.

I was contacted today, Friday the 22nd, but a sales person to confirm my upgrade to 20mb ADSL…. ADSL, not FIBRE, as I had agreed. I don’t want an upgrade to ADSL, when I already have ADSL…

I then spent 1.5 hours at a Telkom office, during which I was phoned by ANOTHER sales representative to AGAIN sell me a FIBRE upgrade.

At this stage, I STILL have virtually no internet at home on my current ADSL line, and have been told by the guy that helped me, that FIBRE is PLANNED, but not rolled out for my address.

This is completely unacceptable.
