Still impossible to cancel contract even after HelloPeter message

I've had the most aweful experience with Telkom in trying to cancel my contract. I'm beginning to think that they are delaying on purpose in order to receive more money. I've tried very hard to cancel my landline contract since 31 October. Without any success. I've sent a message on HelloPeter before (on 11 Dec). I was very surprised and happy to receive a prompt reply from the Telkom Social Media Team (Moenieb) . They assked me to send an email to yet another email address with a reference and everything. Finally, I thought it would be sorted out. But no, nothing happened. Again. I've communicated with online agents 5 or 6 times. Today I spoke with someone again. It is always the same story: "I will escalate the matter to the cancellations department". When I ask "When can I expect to hear back from you?" they can never answer the question. I've never heard back from anyone. I've ALWAYS inititated communication with them. The only way I can foresee getting out of this mess, is to contact FNB to stop my debit order and then to get a legal advisor to handle the matter on my behalf, because I know how these things work, I will end up being blacklisted if I don't pay them. I'm at the end of my rope.

Good day
I am trying to stay calm as I'm typing this, but I am so upset. I've been trying to cancel my contract since the 31st of October. Ever since, I've ALWAYS had to do the following up. Not ONCE have I been contacted by Telkom first. And every month the amount just keep getting deducted through my debit order. Then in January, it was deducted TWICE, on 3 and 9 January. This morning I phoned the customer service (it is a LOT of trouble to finally talk to someone, as you have to go through so many menus). As I started explaining, the lady cut me off (or lets say the line was bad, although it didn't sound like that at all). As I tried calling again, I just decided: NO.
You know what? I have FINALLY had ENOUGH. I've contacted Telkom on 8 or 9 occasions (including my two previous hellopeter posts, to which I received beautiful empty promises) and now I've had enough. This is theft. I really tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, but now I can't help to think that this HORRIBLE SERVICE is a DELIBERATE action from your side in order to get a few months more money out of your customers.
So I just did what I should have done A LONG TIME ago (but I really wanted to solve this with you directly, Telkom): I just simply logged onto my FNB account, and cancelled the debit order. Wow, it was super easy. Done. I also disputed all the debit orders since December. I have more than enough proof that I tried my UTMOST best to cancel this contract with you.
Farewell, Telkom.

Still trying to get this same issue addressed. I've been trying since October 2016 to cancel my landline, but to no avail. It is middle February 2017 now. No part of me can fathom why this is difficult? Is it perhaps a deliberate decision from Telkom in order to try and get more money out of leaving customers? I'm at the end of my rope. Don't know what to do anymore. I cancelled my debit orders through FNB (with the simple click of a button), but now I am terrified of being blacklisted and then spending years trying to unblacklist myself. I'm desperate for this contract to just me cancelled. :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

I just saw that yesterday, 2 Mar 2017, R485.14 was deducted from my bank account. I am so shocked and upset about this. I was told per telephone that the matter was FINALLY closed and had been dealt with. And now this?
Please explain this to me.
I tried to cancel my contract from October 2016. So now, because of Telkom's complete and total incompetance, I am billed for additional months?
I cannot fathom how a company can trick its customers like this. Is this perhaps a money making scheme? Where customer service is purposefully extremely poor, in order that a few month's more deductions can be made? Please answer this question.
I am at the end of my rope.
Please ensure that I get my money back. I see that there are a lot of unhappy customers on Hello Peter who has had EXACTLY the same experience as I had. I feel like someone have to stand up and address this matter, because Telkom is effectively *****ing money from customers before they lose them forever.
Perhaps if all the ill-treated customers stand together, we can have our voice heard. I'm so desperate that I'm contemplating getting a lawyer. We can then calculate the amount of money that Telkom makes due to terrible customer service (cancellation taking four months in stead of few days). I'm sure it will be a significant amount, then we can get a court order that forces Telkom to pay all that money back to each customer that they stole from.
