Still getting notifications 7 months later
In September 2015, I moved house. One month prior to moving, I notified Telkom to cancel my line. This was confirmed and I had absolutely no products or affiliations with Telkom whatsoever.

On 13 January 2016, I received a statement from them saying that I owed money. I took this up with @TelkomZA on Twitter and was promised that the matter would be escalated to the billing team. Nothing.

On 12 February 2016, I received another statement, took it up on Twitter, and only received a response on 16 February 2016. They said the accounts team was verifying the invoice and would make contact. Nothing.

On Monday, 14 March 2016, I received a SMS saying that the limit of R1500 had been exceeded and that I had 48 hours to settle.

On Tuesday, 22 March 2016, I received a SMS saying my telephone service had been suspended and that I had R1512.64 outstanding.

On Thursday, 24 March, I received a SMS saying that the same amount is due on 31 March 2016.

Again, I'd like to reitaerate: I do not have an account with Telkom.

The Twitter and billing teams have been useless and do not follow up.
