Stay away from Telkom - misleading advertising.

I took out 2 mobile contracts for my wife and son at telkom a few weeks ago. The packages i chose was R 299.00 X 2 for 24 months including the Samsung A6+ cell phones.

According to telkom's advert you get free 100 all network minutes PM X 24. The salesman at the Cape Gate Telkom branch assisted me.

A day later my wife tried to make a call to a family member who is on another cellular network just to find out that she does not have any airtime.

We queried this with telkom and they inform us that we chose the top up option and not open plan option and that is the reason why we do not receive the 100 all network minutes.

What i do not understand is the fact that i do not get the benefit of 100 all network minutes (on top up)but i pay R 299.00 PM where as another person who also pay R 299.00 PM get the benefit of 100 all network(on open plan) which make no sense at all

This is clearly a rip- off - there should at least be a reduced price for customers on the top up option.

Nb! Your adverts are misleading and that's why I do not trust Telkom any more.
