Stay away from Telkom

I am an online teacher but have been struggling to get a decent upload speed(+ 1mbps). Recently I ordered a package from Telkom which they advertised on the Telkom website. In order to get this package I had to relocate from the south coast natal up to Richards bay at considerable cost. However when I arrived at my new home the Telkom technician told me I could not get the package I ordered.I have now been without an income since the beginning of December 2018. To make matters worse Telkom has been billing me for a service that was never installed. I cannot believe that they would advertise a service, take my order and then fail to deliver. This is false advertising and despite numerous phone calls and emails nobody has explained to me why, or apologized, or compensated me. I have no other options as fiber is only available in the wealthier areas and LTE is not an option as I need a fixed line for my work. I would like to inform potential clients not to do business with Telkom as they are inept, unreliable and full of false information and advertising.
