Sold something that does not exist in my area...

<p>on 25 November I happily accepted a contract offered to me my Telkom telephone sales, as they informed me that we had new technology in my area and that for R990 I could get a 10MBS line plus additional features (it would be a 2 year contract) but as our line was very slow I accepted the package. I have been struggling with the line and even had a technician come through and he advised that I should downgrade to a 4MBS line as the 10MBS was not stable in my area? Which I then did. The next months bill was a shock as now I had to pay for a lower speed but my pricing was about R300 extra! I cannot understand why if TElkom made this misake of selling me something that doesnt work, that they cannot just keep me on the package rate and downgrade the line? I have spend half the day on the phone today and had no luck.. and cannot get to speak to any managers as they are 'not around' or 'in a meeting' .... I find this very unacceptable! to sell a package on a contract to someone and then upping the price because your product does not work...</p>
