So I am convinced Telkom or someone at Telkom is *****ing my data, off course they won't admit and pin it on me

Here we go again. So we have an OFFICE BASED LTE router and use about 1-1.2GB a day between 5 people. This includes heavy downloads with CV's, emails and visiting websites. Still, we ONLY use 1-1.2GB A DAY between the 5 of us. We have 30GB a month to use which is normally sufficient. We ONLY work weekdays and I am the only person with access. We do recruitment so no need for us to work at night!!

So on Saturday morning, according to your Call centre, downloading started at 00.30 and continued until 00.30 on Sunday morning. Already suspicious! And all toghether used up 17GB of our data!!!!! Again, seventeen Gigabytes! Almost impossible even if you are able (with Telkom speed) to download 17 movies at 1GB each!

Usually on the last day of the month, we collectively attempt to use up the last bit of data by watching videos etc. and we still can't manage to use anything over 1.5GB. Since this is an office, we do not download any movies or songs or anything else but CV's and read emails as well as visiting websites.

Our anti-virus programmes on ALL pc's are up to date and effectivly working so I suppose that rules out a potential virus, that is ABLE TO EAT 17GB in one day.

Your Call centre is implying that something on our side must have magically used up the 17GB of data and don't seems to be really interested in my concern, would rather just want to close the case on their user account.

Funny enough, since we are office based and only have offices surrounding us (within wifi reach), even our security cameras confirmed that no one was here or in the surrounding area, especially at that time to download.

Now here comes the ****er. We ALSO have night time data, ALSO 30GB, of which NOTHING was used. Now how is this possible if the downloading started at 00.30...Shouldn't some data at least have been used between 00.30 and 7.00am?!?!?

I am not interested in any suggestions along the lines of my wifi was hacked, because no one was around. Especially not at that hour.

Also not that we have an "app" or "something" on our side that have used up our data. Especially over a weekend. I wonder what now all of a sudden made the past weekend so special?!??

I will not let this go, I have worked for Telecoms before and know it is very possible that someone at Telkom could've ****** my data...Kind of explains why no data was deducted off our night time data in the hours of 00.30am to 7.00 am. If you *****, do it properly!! Such a pity we don't have any competition for Telkom and rather at the mercy of their incompetence and theft! So exhausting to know that I will probably have to buy the very expensive bundles to see us through the rest of the month!

So Telkom sent me a message, even more ridiculous!
"Hi Michael. Most apps and websites has improved their product, with features like auto play of videos, meaning they consume more data than they used to. Please monitor your updates. Kindly inbox the affected number so we can further investigate.^FK"
To which I rep****
"17GB is impossible...This whole thing smells fishy! Easy for Telkom to pin is on the consumer, yet no investigation was done. We simply can not go from 1 GB a day for 5 working people to 17GB a day if nobody was here!!!!! A also want to know why no nighttime data was used since the download started at 00.30. My case number is ********** 1 - ********** !! There are NO updates!!! We have been using 1-1.2GB a day for 6 months. suddenly this. Your reply is yet another Telkom reply where it sounds like you are not very interested in my side of the story, Maybe Neotel would be the better option!"
and they rep**** with
"hi,our data support team are investigating the case and further correspondence will follow.^WC"
So I received a call from Telkom this morning that my case has been resolved?!?!?! I then phoned to check on the status and was told that the case was resolved as they couldn't get a hold of me!!!!! F@#$nut!!!!, you are phoning me on a number for which the simcard is in the router. Pretty obvious especially since this in an internet retaled query!! You also HAVE my alternative number to which the case number was sent. This phone however received NO CALL from Telkom!

Just an update on this for everyone to see and hopefully other this has happened to.
Telkom got back to me an said it is not possible for anyone at Telkom to ***** data from their customers. They will however investigate why no nighttime data was used. I still have not received feedback and thought I would do some research myself.
This is what I've found. 2 other customers it also happened to. Funny enough, same issue, no nighttime data was used and the download started at 00.30!!! Now come on! See the below links

Hi David
Thank you for sending me this but I have to say that I’ve already obtained this information from Telkom.
This does not answer my question. Why was no data deducted between the early morning hours of 2016/10/08 12:28:11 AM till 2016/10/08 07:00:00 AM? I see my case has been resolved?
Also, did you see the other links for similar cases that I sent on to you? There is definitely suspicious activity here, what happened to me is exactly what happened to the other people.
Awaiting your response
