Smart broadband 80gb 3 month waiting period and penalty to go to a higher package.

Good day. I went into ur cornubia store to change my package from 80gb to a higher package. I have always been aware that I am on a month to month contract and can upgrade to a higher package at any point. I was told by the staff there it's a 3 month waiting period and there might be a penalty to upgrade.

Please advise me I want to upgrade not downgrade and why is there a 3 month waiting period for a month to month contract. I cannot call ur contact center we wait for hours.
