Slow Service...to NO Service....21 days and counting

I logged a call for an underperforming DSL line on the 15th of August. After patiently waiting 9 days I received an sms stating that my line was operational and the issue was resolved. When I switched my router back on I found that I had no DSL line nor did I have a voice line.

I called the help desk immediately (24th August) to raise my concern and another fault was logged. I waited a few more days...hoping that because Telkom caused the issue they would hasten the repair....sadly not. I was obviously just pushed to the back of the queue. I called the help desk again to find out what was going on...the agent informed me my line was syncing on their system. I told her this was impossible as my modem was OFF. She agreed. I let her know we experienced a similar issue in December when our line was crossed with someone else. She promised to get in touch with the technician and expedite my repair...I was told the agent would call me to arrange the repair. I am still waiting for that call.

Please Telkom, just send someone out to repair this ongoing issue. I see Telkom trucks in my area nearly every day. Surely this can't take 21 days to rectify.

Telkom Fault Reference Numbers :

807CRK240816

113ARK150816

Got a call from a nice chap Luke - he wanted to know if my fault was resolved and offered to escalate. This should have been done on the 24th of August when the 2nd fault for the same issue was reported.

I received an sms shortly after the call stating that the line was restored - which it is not by the way. So I will log ANOTHER call because I am afraid that Telkom will feel no shame to bill me for a line that is not active.

I look forward to the day Telkom realises that they are not the only player in the market. Treating your customers unfairly will only result in a significant reduction in your client base....as I'm sure is already evident.

Cheers Telkom.
