Sim swap for ****** phone

I was pocket-picketed a week or two ago, the thing is I have been trying to get my number back by sim swapping but Telkom can't do sim swaps over the phone you need to go in-store, but then the thing is I am far from any Telkom store because I live in rural arears, so money and transport are an issue. And, so I would like to know what this network can do to help me cause I haven't gotten any help yet and I can't lose my number cause it has my important things backed-up with it. I reported the lost phone from the police, I have case number and everything.......
