Sim swap dilemma

I requested for a sim swap but even now my sim is not active. I did what was advised, sent them copy of my Id along with the ICCID number but no assistance from Telkom. Can i be assisted as this is a contract sim and if i don't use this data il be literally paying Telkom for nothing.
