Sim swap

I lost my cellphone last week and went to 2 Telkom stores, namely Trade Route Mall and Jabulani mall to request a Sim swap and was told that my number was blocked due to an outstanding insurance debt.

Firstly, when taking up the cell phone contract, we never told that the insurance company is an outsourcing company. The insurance gets gladly added to the plan. Fast forward to when I canceled the contract, I was never informed that I had to cancel the insurance separate to the cell phone contact.

Now I need a Sim swap and I can't get it. It's an unfair behavior from the company and I refuse to pay for a process I was never informed of. I request that the amount be written off and my number be activated ASAP.
