Sim registered to another person

I went to cresta telkom shop to do a sim swap. unfortunately the sim was registered to another person.I've been using this sim since it was activated and just stop working yesterday. the service consultant says there is nothing they can do. on average spend between R500-R1000 per month.please need assistance to get this number transferred.
