SIM card registration

<p>I app**** for the 12 gig deal of the month from Telkom Mobile. I got the items on Friday.<br />First, I was told registration of SIM has to be done by the driver of the courier company and activation will happen within 24-48 hrs. This never made sense since I've never heard from any telco where the courier company that delivers parcels is responsible for SIM registration?<br />After 48 hrs, SIM is not registered though I was told so. To make things worse, I decided to go to the Telkom store at Menlyn to go activate the SIM card only to be told that they can't do the SIM registration and confirmed that registration will be done by the driver of the courier company and SIM will be registered within 7 days. So if the driver decides not to do the SIM registration, I will just sit with a white elephant?<br />What kind of worst service is this? I've bought an item and common SIM card registration takes 7 days? You guys must be serious if you want to compete with the big telcos.<br />I bought a phone from another telco, MTN to be specific, got the package and SIM registration was never done by MTN. I called MTN and the SIM was activated within a short time.</p>
