Shocking Shocking Service

I have picked one star simply because there are no negative numbers. Telkom's service is diabolical. Over two months ago I reported a fault to Telkom. The technician came quite quickly and said it was "an underground problem" that he couldn't do anything about. This seems like ******* as the line is overhead. Anyway he tested the device and went away promising to speak to the senior technician and report back. Since then we have reported this over and over, online and on the phone. Everyone promises to call back with some kind of response but they never ever do. Meantime we are getting charged for this. Today my hubby spent 2.5 hrs on the phone - on the cell so super expensive - repeating his story over and over to different people. He uses the landline for his building business so is at his wits end about this. I'm desperate to speak to anyone who can just give us a reliable response.

Best regards,
Hi there, I am sorry but I simply don't believe this. We have one distribution pole on our property which consists of two sectional title units. The line goes first to the flat above us then T's off to our apartment. The phone is working perfectly upstairs but ours is not, therefore I do not see how it can be the pole. It would be very reassuring if a technician could call my husband and talk him through the situation is that not possible. Meantime how is it acceptable to be paying for a line that we cannot use.? Is there any solution here?
