Shocking Service - Stalling Client Cancellation Notices
Why is Telkom committing ***** with regards to client cancellations? It is impossible to give 30 days notice, previously one used to be able to call in, log the cancellation and get a reference. Now you are not helped at all, you are told to fill in a cancellation form (of which 4 different copies exist on the internet) and to email it to ***, then someone would give you a call back to confirm the cancellation. If that is the case then when does the 30 day notice start???? You are making it impossible to cancel, and it is impossible to get a reference while you wait indefinitely until Telkom one day decides to call you.
I am moving within 30 days from 6 October 2017. So on 6 October 2017 I sent 4 signed cancellation forms with my ID via email, no response. On 11 October 2017 I sent 4 cancellation forms with my ID via email again, no response. On 12 October 2017 I sent all 4 again, no response. On 13 October 2017 a logged an online cancellation on the Telkom portal for my account, the screen showed reference number ***. On 20 October 2017 I sent all 4 forms again with my ID via email, no response. When is someone going to contact me? Is Telkom just going to stall receiving my cancellation notice as it suites them? This is against the law. Let me make it clear, I gave official cancellation notice in writing on your forms and it was sent through, if my account is not closed 30 days after my first signed form, I will take legal action for this ******ion and *****. Can someone please give me a call to confirm the cancellation of my line????!!!!! I can also promise you, seeing as this is the case, I will not contact Telkom to signup for Fiber after my move, as this has been the worst experience ever, after 10 years of being a client I will not reopen another Telkom broadband account!!!!! Disgusting client service.
