Shocking service

Placed order for ADSL business line on 03 May (Sinehlanhla) with Telkom, reference ***. Called on 09 May to query, was told only a landline residential request had been made. Spoke to Supervisor Kesaval who assured me it would get priority for early installation due to error by Telkom staff member and that Sinehlanhla would call my husband to rectify incorrect order. She called my husband and allegedly rectified her error, reference ***A. Called on 11 May to query status, was informed it would be scheduled for 16 May as a port had become available on 10 May. When I queried why it couldn't be done before 16 May if a port was already available and that Kesaval had assured me that it would get priority for early installation due to error by Sinehlanhla, was told by Ayanda that she had spoken to Kesaval and he denies having told me that. When I asked to speak to his boss, was told that I am not allowed to, I can only speak to him? If he's denying having said that and I want to report him, why can't I speak to his boss? Kesaval came on line, technicians have appointment books, he will call Department to see if he can fit the installation in before next week (another false assurance which he will later again deny?). I requested that he get Sinehlanhla to again call my husband so that she can get the order right and it can get prioritized. Business is run from home and we need the line urgently in order to conduct business! How can so-called experience staff not get a simple order right? Business lines are supposed to take priority because people need them to make their living! Telkom having the monopoly makes it impossible for us consumers to have any recourse and go elsewhere for decent customer service.

Despite an assurance received on Facebook Messenger on Wednesday that a consultant would contact us, it is now 2 days later and STILL no response?!
