Shocking Service!
<p>Had a faulty i-phone which formed part of the 24 month mobile contract. Was infomed by Call Centre as it was within the 24 month contract period it could be repaired under warranty. When I went to the Telkom Store in Eastgate to hand in phone for repairs was told it was no longer under warranty and that if they sent the phone for repairs I would be liable to pay for the repairs. When I asked what I needed to do to cancel the contract I was told it wouldn't make any difference as I would pay the same amount equal to the number of months outstanding until the 24 month term expired. When I finally got the "Final/Cancellation" amount to pay it was +- R500.00 more than if I just kept paying for the remaining months??? Tried to escalate on 3 separate occasions and each time was put on hold for > 10 minutes without anyone answering call. </p>

If you actually take the time to read my e-mail you will see my issue is that I am being charged more for termination than I would pay if I just kept paying until the end of the 24 month term, i.e. I was quoted a termination fee of R1700.00 + the payment of R399.00 for this m0nth = R2 099.00 whereas if i just kep paying R399.00 until the end of the 24 month term, i.e. May 2017 = 4 months = R1 596.00. Surely the most Ishould be expected to pay today to terminate today should be R1 596.00????
