Service Suspended because of Wrong Debit Date

My problems started in December 2014 where I had gone overseas, and in the interim had received an SMS to say that (without my permission no less) my debit date would be changed. When i had returned from my trip I got messages that my services would be suspended. Having spent hours on the phone trying to make a manual payment with no success, I eventually had to wait for the debit to run.

As it turns out, my debit date had not been changed as I had requested on almost every occasion I had called and I had been assured more than once that the date had indeed been changed, yet, lo and behold, end of February the SAME thing happened again on the SAME debit date. I am AGAIN sitting with a suspended line even after I had again made a manual payment.
Now, correct me if I am wrong, but a customer suggests a debit date in line with their pay date? I usually wait for my debits to come off then I move my remaining funds to a transactional account for my day to day expenses. My questions to Telkom are simple, who is now responsible for the bounced debit costs I incurred because of the complete disregard to my instructions, when will my phone line be reinstated and if not, how do I cancel?
