Serious lack of service quality and technician competence

ADSL data completely dropped on 19th July, with a voice line that constantly drops. Despite it being the 30th and almost a daily call in to try get some form of detail on the issue, there is still no repair.

All signs pointed to it being a junction box issue and only on the 29th do the technicians finally comfirm this. But they don't repair it, just report it. Next day, the 30th, an Openserve/Telkom technician is operating down the road but as expected still no attempt to repair the cabling/junction box.

So in summary calling into the service centre results in a "note" on your fault report and literally nothing else. What makes it that little bit worse is that the technicians changed the initial fault report to resolved around the 20th despite the issue continuing.

5th of August and still nothing. Purchased a new router but to no avail. Landline is dead and Telkom call centre don't answer calls. Is it that difficult to do a minor cable repair?

In addition when the landline does work for a very short period, testing it by calling a cellphone shows a completely different number. So I'm to understand that the technicians are crossing peoples lines??

3rd time is not the charm it seems. Telkom claim to have resolved the issue but nothing is working. Nobody called through to confirm, just an sms claiming it is resolved and if the problems continue then call through to the 10210 number.

This is at least the 3rd time a technician has supposed to have come out and fixed the issues but yet again they haven't pitched up and Telkom claims problem solved.

How as a company can you operate like this? Seriously? Can your technicians and call centre communicate with eachother and actually attempt to solve problems?

Is it necessary to pursue some form of legal action or involve an Ombudsman? I cannot fathom how this whole process becomes so drawn and difficult.
