Sent cancellation notice but account still active

I have requested termination of our residential service giving more than the obligatory 30 days' notice as well as completing all the documentation and providing all the supporting documentation. Even got a confirmation email back from them. Account still open and no telephone number to call to follow up. Absolutely pathetic service provision and the inability to contact (a telco company!!!!!) is just another way that they want to ****** money from customers. I wonder what the consumer act says about this!
