Sales department lies to customers

About a month ago I got a call from a Telkom sales agent selling what he said was a Huawei router with 2 gigs data, for R89/month. I specifically asked him if these were day time gigs as I was not interested in night surfer and he said YES.

Yesterday I received my first bill containing this new contract and it only has 1 day time gig and not only that but he never informed me of the R200 activation fee. Clearly Telkom agents lie to their customers to get them to take up whatever they are selling.

Called the call centre this morning awaiting a call back, but I can tell you this now, when my other two contracts expire in December and January, I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Ithabaleng did you bother to read my complaint? I said that the issue was regarding a contract I took out about a month ago, the contract you then respond on has existed for about 18 months.

Clearly hardly anybody at Telkom cares any to actually research on the complaint, before responding. I have in my possession an email from Telkom in which Miriam Amod acknowledges that the 'incorrect data package' was loaded and says that 'the necessary action is being taken regarding this matter'. Only the 'necessary action' is taking too long for my liking.

But like I said before, I will soon be parting ways with Telkom where it matters most, can't wait, truly *********** staff.
