Sadly Signed Up for 24 Months 10MB ADSL Line !!!

I had an ADSL line installed at my home earlier this year (Think February / March). I opted for the higher uncapped 10MB line to make sure I ALWAYS have a strong connection. At the beginning, the line speeds were up and down as one could expect. But it's just become worse and worse. I now have to endure line disconnections 20 - 40 times a day ! When the line is (RARELY) connected, the line speed tests I do using the Telkom recommended website on a good day I could reach 5MB, most people say wow that's great, try doing this with your line disconnecting every 2 - 5 minutes ! THEN this is the other dilemma, I work from home and I am in the financial industry, so everything I do on my PC has to go through a VPN tunnel. Once I'm logged into the VPN tunnel, then I can log onto our work systems and do my work, every time my ADSL line disconnects, I am logged out of all my unsaved work as well as the VPN tunnel. Try working like this, log in, start working for 1 - 2 minutes, line drop, then logged out, repeat this 20 + times a day and tell me if I'm just being unreasonable for paying R1000.00 a month for this """"10MB"""" uncapped service agreement ? I have already started ""disconnecting"" and slowing down my payments for the 1.41MB/s line speed test I did while on the phone with Telkom to ask when my fault is going to be completely resolved as I have been logging faults for months now. I wish I saved all the previous month's fault numbers. I have also tried the Telkom "rescue service" called "Special Forces" on Facebook Messenger, sent screenshot's, every time I was able to of each disconnection. A fault was registered 497CNK131117 (there's many more prior to this), the line was apparently tested on Monday 20.10 and the fault was closed. However while the "testing"is being done, I am sending screenshot's to the Special Forces team of every time I'm disconnected. So now, my next fault code is 126ANK201117, "Awaiting Allocation".................. Don't test my line from your office, come test it at my house and we can both try get our work done on my ADSL line ???

Hi Bronwyn, Your reply dated 28/11/2017 seems to still be assigned to a tech. Today 13/12/2017 I am still struggling to make use of the ADSL service.

16/01/2018, still having regular line drop offs. Still no tech I am now making use of a more reliable 3G service as Telkom is too unstable for my work needs.

Right Telkom....... This problem has still not been attended to. Since OCTOBER 2017. I am in a contract with Telkom for a service of an ADSL 10MB line at a fee that is billed accordingly. I am yet to have my issue resolved (Since October and actually reached the point where I have given up with Telkom) Not surprising that I have NOT been paying the fee for the service not received and of course you disconnect my services. I demand that you fix my line as was promised on the hordes of technical faults i logged since last year, I also demand that Telkom credits my account for the period since i logged the complaint in October as YOU (Telkom) are not providing the contracted service that you are expecting payment for !!!!!
